Etsy is fabulous as a shopping destination for one-of-a-kind goods, and horse-themed gifts are no exception! Keep in mind, as many of the items are made especially for you the buyer, that each shop will have a different turnaround time, so if you absolutely need an item by February 14, you should determine that before you click “add to cart.”
)PaddedPonies has some pretty cute, custom saddle covers like this one in Valentine’s Day pink polka dots.
)If non-traditional is more your style, check out Bel Joeor Metier’s Happy Taco saddle cover or this smart looking pink Pirouette Horse Handy Bag. Amanda, the artisan behind this Etsy shop also has a horse blog and she was my Equestrian Blogger Secret Santa in 2016! You should follow her Vermont adventures with a roan Mustang named Tristan.
)The Pendant Garden has a sterling silver pendant of the da Vinci horse. So regal! And would add a nice touch to any outfit.
)Hamer & Clay custom magnets and Christmas ornaments! These clay creations are unbelievably realistic and based on your horse. It’s not too soon to start thinking about your Christmas ornament now because Kelsey, the shop owner, is swamped before the holidays! A friend got me one of these as a gift–an ornament of me riding Knight–and it is exquisite. Down to the detail of my sunglasses. At this point my ornament has repurposed itself as a magnet of just Knight’s face. There may or may not have been a rambuctious dog involved with that transition, but I digress.
)Black Beauty in this cool 1965 vintage edition. The cover is so great I would hang it as wall art. If larger and not attached to a book.
)Custom cookie cutter of your horse (or cat, dog, self). I had never seen anything quite like this. This gift will take sweet to a whole new level.
)Speaking of custom, if you want to own a customized Breyer version of your beloved horse, check out this Etsy shop. And if you want to see my very first Breyer, Running Stallion, click here to take a trip down model horse memory lane.
)If you like modern farmhouse decorating style, you might fall in love with this rustic wooden horse based on an old-school weather vane.
)Another decor item that will look fantastic in any horse girl’s home is simple, yet elegant framed bit. Yes, it’s a real bit!
)Moving on to wearable gifts, C4 belts are fantastic because there is no sizing involved–you simply trim it down to fit your waist. I particularly love this Vintage Horse belt with the silver buckle.
)This Just a Girl Who Loves Horses shirt with the silhouette of a leaping horse (not a jumping horse–so if you’re not into jumping you’d still be “on brand” with your equestrian sport) comes in several bright colors from cranberry to an orangey red to grass green and two different blues.
)The Hunt Life vintage mini-poster by Hunt Seat Paper Co. It’s 11×14 and will be a classic–and classy–addition to any room in a equestrian’s home ranging from the laundry room to bedroom to office.
)Three-Pack of hand-poured, soy candles by The Gift Horses. They come in small tins (perfect for travel) and names like Barn Door Wreath, Rescues Love Peppermints and In the Tack Room.
)And if you are like me and enjoy tracking fitness while at the barn, you can definitely treat yourself and upgrade to a Fitbit Blaze in rose gold.
