Last week I met up with Seabiscuit for my Sidelines magazine article. The Hollywood A-lister was a riot to “interview,” showcasing various moods and emotions. What a character! Take a look at Seabiscuit’s (a.k.a. Fred’s) expressive shots. (Click here to read about another celebrity horse meetup.)
Emotion #1: Shy, maybe demure.
Emotion #2: Alert/friendly.
Emotion #3: Wary of the claw-handed selfie lady.
Emotion #4: Contemplative (“How do I acquire more carrots?” or “Why am I so grand?”).
Emotion #5: I am through with you. This interview has come to an end.
What famous horse or horses would you like to meet and interview (living or dead)?
Amy Cherwin says
The horse who played Seabiscut?
Susan Friedland-Smith says
You are correct!
Ashley {The North Carolina Cowgirl} says
I like Amy’s guess! I was going to say War Horse but then remembered that horse looked more drafty and had white on his face.
Aside from guessing who he is, I have to admit I was shocked to see horses in California have winter coats! I figured it stayed to warm there for them to get fuzzy. Boy was I wrong!
Susan Friedland-Smith says
You’re right and Amy’s right! I never saw War Horse. I was warned I couldn’t handle it. Did you like it?
KateRose says
Hahahah I have no guess but the pics/captions were hilarious 😀
Susan Friedland-Smith says
The cat’s out of the bag: Seabiscuit.
