Good news, equestrians! You can feel less guilty buying a new pair of riding breeches like I did recently (thank you Dover for the deep discounts on the Tredstep Symphony Rosa–product review forthcoming!). Not only are riding breeches chic for street wear, but last week Mark, my horse husband, used his gray Tailored Sportsman breeches for skiing. Here is the photo evidence. If you look closely, you’ll see the knee patch.
When I asked him what inspired him to wear said breeches, he said, “they had all the characteristics of ski pants for a warmer day.” Who knew?
So if you need another rationalization for treating yourself to new riding breeches, just remember street wear and ski wear. It’s a thing.
Comments: Have you worn riding breeches or other riding apparel for the purpose of something other than riding?
