Thanks to United’s Mileage Plus program, Mark and I were able to visit Europe for 19 days using “free” airline tickets. We just returned home to the horse and dogs on Tuesday.
If I had to summarize the trip in one word it would be “gelato.” If I had to summarize it in two words they would be “bad GPS.” Three words=”numerous travel fiascoes.” And four words=”future blog post fodder.”
I had a lovely blog post queued about the French village where we attended a swing dance festival for three days (and were the token Americans), but the WordPress app on my phone deleted it. I took that as a sign I was supposed to blog about the glories of castles, rolling hills, ancient art, and all the food later.
I had several horse sightings
and even rode a Camargue horse in the south of France. I felt like Darley Newman on Equitrekking.
Stay tuned for more tales from France, Italy and Switzerland. And happy weekend!!!
- Do you have a favorite European vacation destination (or somewhere else in the world)? Please share!
- What’s your top pick/s for gelato flavor? Mine are stracciatella, and chocolate hazelnut. And strawberry.
Finally, if you haven’t subscribed to Saddle Seeks Horse blog posts yet, go for it.
