Scores of the world’s most talented show jumpers are now here in SoCal for the third annual Longines LA Masters, and last night’s red carpet opening event brought out the equestrian and Hollywood stars in full force. Enjoy this collection shot by the talented Vanessa Hughes (you might know her on Instagram as Lady Photographic; you’ll love this shot she took of California Chrome when he raced at Del Mar.)

The legendary Olympian John Whitaker whom I spoke to last year. When I asked him what he would be doing for work if he weren’t a professional show jumper, he said “dairy farmer” because that’s what his father did. As a granddaughter of a dairy farmer, he couldn’t have impressed me more. 🙂
